I study a Master’s in Economics and Business administration, in the program of Information Management and I’ll be graduating in summer 2021.
What do you do at Precis?
I work as a Digital Specialist at the Aarhus office, where my tasks consist of managing a client relationship and optimising accounts for Google Ads, Amazon, and Facebook. My responsibilities also include seeking new opportunities to ensure my client gets the best possible digital marketing strategy.
How has your development journey been since you joined?
I started almost two years ago and I’ve learned a great number of new skills during my time at Precis. In the beginning, I was learning by helping other Digital Specialists with different projects and tasks until I was ready to take over my own client. I’m continuously learning new skills and we work as a team, so I am still getting help from my colleagues and helping others. One of the best things about working at Precis is that you get to spend time learning new skills and you get to have an impact on which direction you start developing your skills.
What inspired you to join Precis?
I heard about Precis from a friend and was told great things about the work environment and the team. I was also interested in the learning opportunities, as I found out that they give a lot of responsibilities to their student employees at Precis.
How much did you know about digital marketing before you started at Precis?
Before joining Precis I had no prior experience with digital marketing.
What’s the most exciting thing you have learned since joining Precis?
The most exciting thing that I’ve got to learn, and am still learning, is the overall view of how businesses operate. We have different clients and you get to study different business models and it’s not only limited to digital marketing but you get to see much more. When you work closely with the client you’ll get an opportunity to learn about how to run a business and how to help them to take their performance to the next level. I enjoy learning how the different platforms and interfaces work together and how to tailor the best possible solutions to clients with different needs and requirements.
Have you been able to use learnings from your studies at your work?
I have been able to tie my learnings from university to the work that I do at Precis. Information management -program emphasises how to manage IT projects and define customer requirements and needs, which is something that you need to do when working with clients at Precis as well. Understanding the clients and their pain points sets a good starting point for further work and allows you to make better decisions to improve their digital maturity and help them to improve their performance.
